The Story

Kiwi Caravan Experience is a new and off-the-grid glamping accommodation for two in the beautiful Shakespeare Regional Park. It's unique and makes 'getting away' easy and stress-free. It is a convenient opportunity for busy couples who are looking for a quiet break in a setting away from the hustle and bustle of urban living to relax in style.

The Challenge

Professional photography for the new website was needed and photographing in small spaces has it's very own challenges. This beautiful caravan has lots of little places. It offers everything needed to rest, relax, entertain and be entertained. It is fully self-contained and feels cosy and luxurious at the same time.

The Outcome

The images were intended for the website but in the end were also used in a magazine article about Kiwi Caravan Experience in the September edition of 'Motorhomes, Caravans & Destinations'.

We have done it again

A warm hello to you,

It's so good to be back in Alert Level 1. A little bit of normality is a relief, even if it is the 'new normal'.

2020 has been a challenging year for everyone worldwide. Businesses battled their challenges in many different ways. But there is one reality I would like to talk about a bit more, and that is the fact that COVID has shown us the need to make trade more accessible online.

If a company wants to be in business, it needs to be online! And when it comes to websites and marketing material, the importance of photos is undeniable. Research of eye-tracking study* states: that a photo's subject can guide the user's eye fixations on the web page. You could either be losing your visitors interest, or converting them into enquiries, and clients just by using compelling images on your site.

We have two tales to tell of how enterprises are different but still the same. Let's jump right into two separate but equally exciting online store launches in the next articles.

Money shots for sale

We are proud to launch our new stock image online store!

Some things are hard to find. A Little bird told me that stock images of Kiwi money are a rare find on the world wide web. I listened and put my professional photography skills to work.

As a result, I produced an abundance of charming Kiwiana money shots. Some pics include cute Kiwiana props like a small flax kete, a wooden kiwi bird and paua shells others are pure money shots. It's the desired 'Kiwiana look' that unites them all.

Our new stock image online shop is like a box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans, and they are one of the most popular sweets in the (wizarding) marketing world; there's one of every flavour. Have a nosy and be prepared to be impressed.

The fabulous feedback I received so far worked its magic on me already; it conjured up a huge smile on my face. Thank you so much! I'm also sending a big virtual token of appreciation to all of you who have already purchased some shots.

The one sad thing about stock images is that the photographer hardly ever knows where the photos have found a new home. I would love to get links to the websites using my photographs or images of printed marketing material with a word or two that I can use as testimonials.

Availability & Usage Terms

The images are available in two different sizes

1. a small version ideal for online use and

2. a large version in perfect print quality.

As any royalty-free stock image, they are available under a license. The standard license is non-exclusive, non-transferable and not for resale.

This means:

• The usage is not limited to only one buyer. In case you would like to be the only person using an image, please get in touch. I am happy to discuss exclusive rights.

• The purchaser is the sole person acquiring the rights to use the image, e.g. an agency purchases the rights to the image for a particular client not for repeated use on different clients.

• The copyright remains at Catchlights Photography.

Case Study - Unique by Yoggiebear

Something for today's bearded guys

Unique by Yoggiebear is a new exciting online store offering a variety of products in the beauty and skincare range. Filling a niche in the realm of natural skincare for men they offer organic locally made beard and moustache care products, scented candles and lovely natural soaps. The target audience for the Yoggiebear team is 'guys who look after themselves', but women may be a substantial buying audience too. Their goal is to grow by introducing more and more awesome products into their range.

It's been a pleasure working with Unique by Yoggiebear. They have a clear understanding of where they wanted to go but realized they lack some skills to go all the way by themselves. They know the solution is to seek the help of professionals to fill the gaps.

It is essential to Unique by Yoggiebear that the photos express the masculinity and uniqueness of their products. And also make the products look enticing, professional yet keep the locally produced friendly feel. Without saying, the shots need to look better than the competitions.

Professional photography was part of their product launch preparation. Having professional photographs made it possible to start their marketing campaigns on social media and with printed collateral. I can only imagine how exciting it must have been to open the online store doors to the public.

Even though the products are aimed at bearded men I took the liberty (with permission) to test most of them and enjoyed them all. I am particularly fond of the uniquely scented candles, the magnesium & hemp cream for soothing strained joints & muscles and the restoring oils to soften hair and add brilliant shine. I know, I don't have a beard but hair is hair I thought - the depleted ends of my long hair love the nutrition of the precious oils.
